Eïs / Horn / Unholy Order
Wann?Startzeit: Samstag 20:00 (03 November)
Endzeit: Samstag 23:30 (03 November)
The glorious nineties are over, dead and forgotten? Black Metal has lost its magic? The most haunting works have already been composed?
Black Metal has always been about your emotions. About giving your solitude a voice. Living through and in your art. That`s what the members of German Melodic Black Metal gem EÏS surely have done on all of their five albums and one EP released on renowned label Prophecy Productions (current: „Stillstand und Heimkehr“ EP, February 2018, before: Patina/2005, Kainsmal/2006 and Galeere/2009 as GEÏST, Wetterkreuz/2012, Bannstein"/October 2015) and on more than 100 selected gigs so far – on festivals
like With Full Force, Summer Breeze, Wave Gotik Treffen, Ragnarök, Wolfszeit and many more as well as on tour in clubs all through Europe.
That's what they'll continue to do in 2018, and what they will not stop to do in future years and on all coming gigs to come: Prove to old and new generations of black metal admirers that you don't have to be the fastest, most satanic, most avantgarde or most Darkthrone-copycatish band around to create something really moving, really lasting. Black Metal is not about living in the past or being innovative for the sake of innovation.
It's about the winter in yourself.
All the darkness.
About being yourself.
Horn was formed as a solo project in 2003 and is a solitary musical undertaking up to the present day. The initial drive behind the project was to create nature-themed Black Metal, focusing on the relation of man and nature in a regional context. The old material, being mainly concerned with detailed descriptions of nature and incorporating rather upbeat, folk-influenced riffing, has made way for more sinister themes and soundscapes over the years. What has remained throughout the course of seven studio albums is the distinct “Horn” sound, featuring siren-like lead guitars, classical Black Metal-styled vocals as well as clean chorals and a serious folkloristic approach far from the jolly drunken Viking tunes celebrated these days.
Formed in May 2011, the band was called "Satanic Order", but the then-singer Gheist did not like the name,
so the band was renamed to "Unholy Order".
After writing a few songs and because of Syknatt's connections they had quickly gained some fans outside of Austria. In October 2011, Sanies joined the band as the guitarist. Gheist quit the band at the end of October 2011 after he had suffered from massive depression. In December 2011 the search for a new guitarist ended!
Valgautr joined the band.
In March 2012 Daniel, also the vocalist of "Birth Of Horus", joined the band, but because of other obligations and no spare time, he quit after 1 1/2 months. In May 2012, Kjetter joined the band as the new vocalist, but only stayed for a month. Daniel then offered his services as a vocalist for the recording of the band's demo CD, though he would leave upon finishing the vocal tracks.
After having immense difficulties from the very beginning, in both finding, and maintaining a vocalist, it was settled that Valgautr should overtake vocal duties from that point on. In early 2013, Valgautr and Sanies left the band leaving PersSa and Syknatt as the sole members of the band.
In April 2013 SvarturSál joined the band as their new guitarist, but they soon decided to make him their new singer. Finally in September of 2013 two guitarists decidet to join them, and make the line-up complete!
